The relationship between media and women is an interesting one to me. Why do women endlessly seek to be like the women that are on T.V.? And more importantly why does the media endlessly portray women in a light that does not meet the expectations of real women? I found this picture while perusing the internet the other day and had to share this. We, as women, have to end this love affair with celebrities and such. Trust me ladies if we all had a personal trainer, chef, make-up artist, stylist, and nanny's to watch our kids we too could look like Victoria Secret models. We have to see through this ploy for our money and time and realize when you're looking at pictures of Kim Kardashian or Beyonce or whoever you wish you looked like, that they have a team of people that get them to look like that. Realize that Beyonce probably doesn't look like Beyonce when she rolls out of bed in the morning. We can no longer invest time and energy into an industry that does not love us back. Instead find a way to be content with who you are. Embrace the uniqueness of your body, knowing that it tells a story of who you are and where you've been that is like no other.
