What was in the package?!?

I was driving home from dropping Kaya off at school, the day after the second presidential debate, and I was listening to the radio. I was a bit irritated when the female D.J. proclaimed, "I found the presidential debates to be boring but the candidates' wives had on great dresses!" And she then went on to say that she had posted the wives dresses on Facebook for anyone who wanted to see them. As a woman who pays attention to politics and one who votes, I loathe when women place themselves into the stereotypical role of the woman who cares more about what the people were wearing than what was being discussed. It is a really important time on this planet to be paying attention to what is going on in politics. We have two candidates, this election, that vary vastly when it comes to the topic of women's rights. Saying you don't care or that you don't follow politics is a copout. We can do better ladies. Get informed, care, and vote!

There is a company called Fashluxe that is making these really great t-shirts right now. And besides the fact that they were kind enough to send me one, I'm going to tell you why I love this shirt. The shirt does a witty job of blending the two "camps" of women together. Generally (I hate generalities) but generally, in this world women are put into two categories. There is the high heel wearing, martini loving women, who care more about what the candidates' wives are wearing than what is being said. And then you have the natural, hippie, activist type, who knows all about the candidates and are passionate about political activism. I love this shirt because it breaks those two categories wide open and says, "I'm a high heel wearing, martini drinking, educated women, and I vote!"

It matters this year ladies so go like Fashluxe on Facebook by clicking here and get their monthly promo code. Then get one of their vote t-shirts, inform yourself about the candidates, register to vote, put your t-shirt on and go fulfill your civic duty on November 6th! You know I will!

You can also visit their website www.fashluxe.com and check out all of the other great stuff they have. The shoes.....I seriously have my eyes on a couple of them!

Here's the shirt again, not in the mirror! It looks great either way.
Check Fashluxe out, you'll be glad you did.
