Oh Hi…it’s Me Again

I apologize for not posting more often but I’m struggling with the whole social media thing lately. I’m on Facebook, Instagram and here and some days it just becomes too much. I don’t get on Facebook much but I am admittedly a fan of Instagram. I agonize over spending too much time blogging or looking at meaningless pictures and posts and not focusing on what’s important.  If I’m not on here as much it’s because I’m trying to practice being in the moment instead of my face glued to a computer screen or my phone. It was actually this video on Facebook that got me questioning all of it. I’m not big on technology actually. My kids are only allowed to watch T.V. on the weekends and I myself watch two shows per week. I limit my computer time. But since I got this damn smart phone it seems as though I just.can’t.stop checking random stuff on my phone! I haven’t come to a conclusion about any of it yet but just wanted to put it out there. I've uploaded the video to my Facebook page hop over there and check it out. I do realize all of the irony in this...what can ya do?!

  3. It's not good when your social media life disrupts your real life. I try to blog during naptime or bedtime, but then it's the household chores that suffer. Better than missing time with my son though. Dishes don't mind waiting! http://mommycall.wordpress.com

  4. It's not that social media disrupts my life, I'm very persistent in those two not intermingling. It's more the balance between chores, exercise, and other miscellaneous that take a back seat when I blog regularly. So for me, it's been a struggle to decide how much I'm willing to let go, to blog. Still undecided :-)
